Over 100 bands will be performing at the sixth installment of Rockfest. The festival organizers are once again working on putting together a very diverse bill featuring many more international bands, as well as Quebec's cream of the crop and the best up-and-coming local acts. The camping areas will also be expanded.
After going out together for two years, Rockfest and D-TOX are now finally getting married, creating an unstoppable alliance! The festival is now officially the D-TOX Rockfest.
Put together by Outaouais Rock, the festival has been growing considerably in the last couple of years, doubling or tripling its attendance every year. Known for its impressively diverse lineups, low ticket price, festive atmosphere and beautiful scenery right by the Outaouais River, Rockfest is quickly becoming a summer tradition. Located only 75 minutes from Montreal and 50 minutes from Ottawa, Rockfest is easily accessible for everyone. The festival recently won the Ovation Prize at Quebec's prestigious Tourism Awards in the Festivals and Tourist Events category, as well as the Arts & Culture Prize at the Chamber Of Commerce Awards.
"We're very happy to announce NOFX as one of the headlining bands for this year, but this is only the beginning," says Alex Martel, president and founder of the festival.
