
“I thought it was a great idea so I immediately went on my fanpage and made a contest. I then called my friend, designer Jamie McLennan, and asked if he wanted in and he was interested. His company Cyan Solutions donated the printing. The contest was, basically, submit your photo and the most likes gets in the calendar”, said McNamara.
The photos were shot at Olympia Bowling in Cornwall. “Olympia was willing to let us use a lane for a few hours and we all got together and got it done. Jamie and I worked on it over the holidays and here we are. The inspiration was simply to raise some money and make a cool calendar that we would like.”
Hence the 2012 Manly Men of Movember Calendar was born. 80 copies of the calendar have already sold, and most likely only 150 will be printed. Locally people can buy the calendar directly from McNamara on his Framed Photography Facebook fan page for $15 each:

100 percent of the proceeds are being donated to Movember Canada. The funds raised are directed to programs run directly by Movember and their men’s health partner, Prostate Cancer Canada.
